Sobre mí
CURRENT MISSION
My mission is to connect with as many other people in the world as possible.
ABOUT ME
Hello! I am very excited to be spending some time over in Europe for this summer. I'll be spending most of my time in Italy trying to further learn the language and immerse myself in the culture.
I'm an International Business Studies and Marketing major in the United States. I'll be visiting Europe from May till June, but will be moving to Milano for school in August.
My biggest reason for using CouchSurfing isn't just to have a place to stay, but it is so I can meet many people throughout the world. I am in the process of creating a new, educational blog that will be used in a high school classroom back in the States. While abroad, I will be meeting numerous people and will want to document these unique and interesting individuals. After spending some time with each individual, I'll write up a biography of the person and include my own cultural perspective on the meeting.
The blog isn't just for documenting an adventure, but it is there for readers who may not have the ability to travel around the world to become a bit more cultured by getting a different cultural perspective. I believe in a world of understanding, so how are we to live in understanding if we can't even understand who are neighbors are?
PHILOSOPHY
To find peace within myself while also maintaining peace with those around me. That sometimes can be a tough act to balance out in this world.
As I get older, the more I grow away from enjoying conflict. Some conflict is fine, especially if it is done in a mature, educated way -- particularly if the conflict can end with the two of us laughing and getting a good drink afterward.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am wanting to participate by meeting hosts in countries in Europe and growing from the cultural perspectives that I'll be learning from them.
Also, through my educational blog that I'll be producing while abroad, I'll help raise awareness to the CouchSurfing Project and hope to increase global understanding of each other.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't had any, but I'm looking for plenty of new stories and adventurous to take back with me after my stay in Europe this summer!

Música, películas y libros
I am a horror movie fanatic! If I could act in horror films for the rest of my life, day in and day out, I would be utterly ecstatic!
In regards to music, I can appreciate most genres, but I will admit that my favorite music is the type of music that makes me want to "move!" Dance, electronica, European pop, and even a little bit of trance! I love all of that!
Algo increíble que he hecho
The Northern Italian sunrise. It may not seem like much to you, but I remember waking up on the train as we were riding through the Italian countryside-- it was my first time in Italy. When I was previously awake, we were still in France. So when I woke up and saw the beautiful fields and the sun glowing over the horizon, I felt euphoric, nearly as if it was unreal. The warmth the sun provided across the rural landscape was an amazing moment for me, for its sheer beauty and because of what it meant to me to finally be in Italy.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
I will not claim to be a scholar on American studies, but since I do live in the States, I imagine I have quite a bit of cultural knowledge about my country that is built into me. I can offer all kinds of pop-culture knowledge, but more importantly, can offer knowledge on our school systems, our economy, our different sub-cultures within our own culture, and of course a bit of information on our politics. However, as we all know, most of the world knows more about our politics than we do! Hah!
What do I want to learn from others? Now that seems like an infinite question! There's no way possible I can say just one thing. Knowledge is power and I wish to continuously grow my knowledge of this world around me until the day I die.
