About Me

Traveling:
I'm extremely lucky to have lived in 3 countries and traveled through 26. My travel philosophy has always been to make an effort to travel to the off-beaten path. This has taken me to the backroads of Bulgaria (my favorite country), the mountains of Georgia (world's best food), the coast of Mexico (my favorite surfing location), and the villages of Malawi (home of the most generous humans in the world). I am a jack of all trades and a man of many interests. Sure, I love to climb, surf, play music, go to festivals, spearfish, climb mountains, and travel - but all of these interests are just the best way I have found in life of connecting with people from all different walks of life. Human connection is what I travel the world in search of, and everywhere I go I seem to find it!

Hosting:
I am lucky to live in a lovely little cottage in magical La Jolla about 500 steps from the ocean. The cottage is 1 of 8 on the lot, each of which is lived-in by good friends. To me nothing is more important than Community and I invest heavily in the circles of community surrounding my home. Be it neighbors, friends, family, or Couchsurfers - my favorite thing in the world is to host and to bring groups together to share a meal or create a memory. This is where I put my energy. I feel lucky to be able to share the magic of where I live with any/everyone - especially you!
