Ahoy! Salut! Hey! Cześć!

I'm a Czech double MA student of Medieval history and New Media Studies.
I like to discover and try new things and push my limits (don't imagine extreme sports:)
In August 2016 I moved to Lyon, France and in September 2018 I moved to Paris to spend a year studying at the Sorbonne and discovering this wonderful country and its language.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been thinking of making a Couchsurfing account for a while and my friend finally persuaded me to doing so.
I'd like to make friends all around the world as well as I'm eager to get to know new cultures and cuisines.

Interests

I really enjoy reading (actually it's a part of my life because studying history is all about reading :) but I'm always up to do sports or hike in the nature. I love the looking in the distance and doing some street photography.

I've been a swing dancer for a year and a half. If you need a dancing partner, hit me up!

Oh and I really like playing games. Recently it's mostly board games but I'm always up to play any kind of games.

Music, Movies, and Books

So far everything by Graham Greene. I like Kafka, J.G. Farrell, Bradbury and Tolkien. Very lately getting into Harry Potter...

Variety of music: I enjoy listening to the old bands from the 40's up to the 70's, recently mostly swing and blues.
I'm also a fan of the more recent bands like Arcade Fire, Cage the Elephant, The Vaccines, The White Stripes, Agnes Obel, Otava Yo, Gogol Bordello, Arvo Part, Grieg, Ravel (my brother plays violin and makes me to listen to classic music so I know many composers although I usually don't remember the name of the composition haha)

Concerning the movies I've seen many movies and some of them I even like :) But in general as I can remember right now I'm a fan of Coen's brothers and David Lynch's movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I used to herd sheep and lambs when I lived at a farm in Brittany, France.

I'm into learning and practising languages so I can propose you a language-tandem exchange that could be interesting for all of us :)

I can also teach you some swing steps!
