_Please, don´t be irritated by my low response rate - this is due to the fact that during the last summer in Salzburg I was really drowning in work, not thinking about changing the status of my couch-availability, actually not thinking about cs at all... and 'boom', suddenly you seem like a very unfriendly person..., that doesn´t even reply to every second message... ;-)

Interests

I'm interested in a lot of things, but you can sustainably disturb me by asking me what my "hobbies" are.
I adore music and literature, going to concerts & festivals and meeting my friends. I'm socialized by the Austrian "Kaffeehaus-Kultur", I could spend hours sitting in a café, reading, "observing" the other guests or discussing the state of the world or our hearts & minds ;-) with my friends. Since I started to work, I don't have much time for that, but I enjoy the rare occasions even more.

I have a specific interest in "Gender Studies" and I'm professionally working in the field of gender equality, promoting girls in the field of scientific and technical jobs. I guess some would call me a feminist, and if you have to put people into boxes to understand the world, I guess this is the one I belong to.

I guess reading is the ability that influenced my life most. I love to read, I love words and language. I'm no great talker, but I love to write. My favourite writers are Haruki Murakami, Ingeborg Bachmann, Gioconda Belli, Julio Cortazar, Jorge L. Borges, Felix Bruzzone,...
One of my favourite books of all times is "The secret history" by Donna Tartt (don't quote me on that).
Y creo que estaré leyendo "Rayuela" algunas vezes mas los proximos a~nos...

I don't go to the movies very often, but I like to watch films on my tiny TV-screen. Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind is one of my favourites, and I love french films in particular... y me encantan las películas argentinas... llevé un moton conmigo a casa... :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

Well - I don't know, if I can teach a lot of useful things, but I can share my experiences concerning systematic chaos with you and maybe you can learn how not to fall in this trap ;-)
I recently started doing origami - actually I have a certain ambition to fold the world´s tiniest "grulla" (crane).... and I guess, I´m already quite close.

OK, I admit it: I DO NOT COOK. (So I actually don´t know if I´m able to or not.) So anybody who´s able to prepare a decent vegetarian meal is welcome :-)
Everybody who wants to taste traditional, homemade, Austrian food: better look for another host ;-)
