Hey - my name is Myriam! I am 29 and am half Sudanese, half Irish ☺️

I have been working as a humanitarian worker working with refugees for around three years now in Italy and Greece.

I love anything creative, and I myself love to sing (though mostly in a large group 🙈) , play percussion, occasionally paint and I am very into theatre!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling and learning about different peoples way of life around the world.

I feel like the perfect way to really get a sense of a place is to see it through the perspective of a local!

This is the first time I’m using Couch Surfing but I hear it’s a great way to get a more enriching experience of a country - so I’m super excited to get started 💪🏼

Music, Movies, and Books

The music I listen to is very varied and from all over the world, but generally anything that I feel at that moment! I listen to music a lot when I’m cooking or cleaning and I also love listening to podcasts!

I don’t really watch movies, I much prefer reading - especially when travelling! The books I read are mostly about things I want to learn more about or relate to my life at that moment. The books I love at the moment are:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once hiked an active volcano (Mount Etna, in Sicily) and am still alive to tell the tale! I have also lived on a ship for five months.

I love exchanging languages, learning how to make new dishes, sharing stories but in general I am open to learning anything!
