About Me

Life is a cycle, no need to rush anywhere.
I'm trying to learn and remember that.
Though, in a year cycle, i always forget the wonders of the season coming just after...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To discover the world - how else than through its people!

Hosted and surfed quite much - and even more with the capoeira connections!
I'm always amazed on how much we share while knowing so little - thanks CS/life for making such great connections!

Interests

Food (all the aspects of it) - growing, picking, cooking, canning, pickling, baking, eating...

Sports - hiking, cycling in the countryside, mindfullness, swimming (lakes are my fave!), capoeira angola (and the people you meet through it), dance (lately, i'm on traditional french folk!)

People - listening to stories, sharing ideas, learning from kids (they're such great teachers)

Ecology, education, poetry.

I'm also experiencing life through work - while working with local french politics on economics subjects, in a rural organic shop, in organic family farming, in artistic management, with children & disabled people, teaching urban agro-ecology to israeli & international high-school students, cooking/baking for groups, working in a library/theatre/dance company, making a field research on wild bees... Any advice for the next job?

Music, Movies, and Books

There are incredibly creative movies, music and books.
The few that pop up spontaneously to my mind:
- "In the mood for love", by Wong Kar Wai, is quite a masterpiece - its music and actors.
- "Gett, the trial of Vivian Amsalem", by the brotherhood Elkabetz, is a more recent one - a must see on the women's status in Israel.
- "Entre leur mains" - about home birth.
There are so many low budget ones that have opened up new perspectives in my mind!

Music - mainly the ones with instruments and soul in it!
Afro, carribean, traditionnal, jazz, world...

Books - well different ones at differents times. Tiziano Terzani, lately comics.

If you should hear about one person - i would suggest to hear Vandana Shiva's talks. In key words, she's all about: ecology, biodiversity, feminism, seeds, transmission, politics, scientific research...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Faced a running cow in "Course Landaise".
Studied Chinese language and culture at university, and did an exchange in Finland for it!

Teach, Learn, Share

Learn from people's experience - university of life!
