About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel and get hungry for essay writing - back to studying next year!
ABOUT ME
I'd like to think that I'm open-minded, free-spirited, optimistic and a bit geeky. There are very few things that I'm not interested in, one of them is golf.
I get the hibby gibbies being in a new place, having an amazing conversation; unexpectedly running into a friend; running barefoot on delicious soft grass; and seeing something cool that nobody else noticed.
What about you?
PHILOSOPHY
Low expectations... and high hopes! Served me well as a life philosophy so far - always really content with what I have
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I dig meeting new peeps, and especially hosting people in my home, wherever that may be at the moment. It feels like an occasion when there are out-of-towners around - and makes you appreciate the place you're living in.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only experienced the couchsurfers that a friend has had over. We always had such a rad time doing stuff with the couchsurfers that when I went on my gap year, I joined. Before that we were 5 girls living in a house for 4, so it wasn't exactly possible.
Interests
Love travelling, even the airport/bus/sleeping on public floors part involved.
I'm a great participator in anything sporty, love hiking (especially in cape town), swimming, yoga, running (in the forest, hate roads and treadmills) and recently spent 4 months skiing in Whistler. Can't say I'm great at anything - jack of all trades... you know the rest :)

Music, Movies, and Books
TV shows: flight of the concords, family guy,
Books- african politics (almost obsessively); in terms of fiction, I always judge a book by its cover. I'll read anything with a quirky sleeve. Recently got into crime novels by SA writer Deon Meyer - he made the rest of the world disappear for a couple of days!
Movies: girly movies, but not romcoms. More like Notting Hill, before sunset/sunrise, french movies like les choristes and faubourg 36..
Music: love going to local live gigs. enjoy most music, passionate about few artists and bands, not really type-boxed
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Name one amazing thing? Best recent thing is seeing the world cup in SA - feeling like your overseas in your childhood restaurants and teen bars. Big fun, crazy people, rainbow nation celebration.
Teach, Learn, Share
I ilke my politics, but must admit to being slightly afro centric.. what's going on in your country?
I can tell you A LOT about SA... don't hesitate to stop me :)
