About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm a 27-year old girl, interested in literature, music and culture as a whole.
I enjoy travelling with a pinch of adventure :)
I prefer to spend my free time away from the big city, out on the mountains, or camping on the beach.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed a few times in Turkey. I've hosted a few couchsurfers in my home in Sofia, and I've taken a few people around Sofia.
I'm also always available for travel advise.

Music, Movies, and Books

It's gonna be a long list :)
Okey, let's start with movies! I'm interested in inteligent movies, with great philosophy incorporated in them. Personal favourites - Fight club, 12 monkeys, Dead poets society, An Education, Bin jip, etc. etc.
Music - I tend to listen everything :D I believe that limiting yourself to only one style of music (or everything, as a matter of fact) shuts your imagination and notion of the world. So... jazz, rock, metal, alternative, classical music, gimme all :D Lately I'm listening stoner/psychedelic rock, and lots of folk music and fusion folk music.

Books... Oh, boy :D
I spent my teenage years reading exclusively fantasy and sci-fi. Favourites there are Ray Bradbury - everything, A Song of Ice and Fire, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Isaac Asimov's robot cycle, and many more.
I also read modern literature - Ian McEwan, Chuck Palanuk, Kurt Vonnegut.
Lately I tend to read more non-fiction literature on different topics (whatever is on my mind currently) - from cryptography, through history, travel literature, porn actors autobiographies :D, sociology, psychology and so on...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen a few autentic and very beautiful folk rituals - The Gelina brides in Ribnovo - a ritual happening only in one village of bulgarian muslims in Rodope mountain, I've been to a fire-walking dance ritual in Bulgare village in Strandga, and I've seen the spinning Dervishes in Konya.
Hope I will see much more around the world.
