ABOUT ME

It is my ambition to meet as many people from as many cultures as possible. It is fascinating to listen to the experiences of travellers and pick up ideas on where to go next. I hope to see much of the planet and learn about our world.

Be nice to get some inspiration on how to live a full life. Its scary to live for the sake of paying off a mortgage.

PHILOSOPHY

Mostly overwhelmed by all there is to do in one life. So much to see, so much to learn, so much to share. So many activities to try my hand at.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Poets & artists, lovers & dreamers, musicians & monks, loners & romantics, the sufies & the soulsearchers, life's philosophers & students of life, spiritualists & the lost, hippies & royalties, the cool, the too cool & the not so cool, painters & thinkers, jokers & pranksters, writers & ponderers, the dreamers & the wanderers, will feel right at home here.

Please note that my place is NOT a hostel. You wouldn't accept it if I came over to yours, dropped my backpack, wandered around town, turned up at 3am and left the next day. So please don't expect to do the same here.

In other words, you choose to stay with me because you feel we may learn something about each others' cultures. That from the experience, we may end up a little more wiser about the world.

I get a lot of emails requesting to CS. Some are simply mass emails sent to everyone. Others make an effort to read profiles. So please show me that we can hangout and your staying over is worth my efforts.

I hope these comments are not too harsh, I really am very excited about hosting. It's going to be so much fun and enrich our lives with new adventures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I found out about the site from a fellow surfer whilst out travelling. Thought it was a brilliant idea. I have guests staying at the moment and more over the coming weeks. So far, so good.

Mostly anything that takes the edge off the day; any fun, relaxing, adrenaline fueled, good, bad, crazy, wild, sane, insane activity that makes me happy, scared, laugh, feel alive. Jump off a cliff, camp with the lions, swim with the sharks, tackle a wave, ride a hippo, climb a giraffe, bungy jump off of a plane, climb everest, hike inca, spar with Jet Li, and Toni Jaa, at the same time. That's the itenary for this weekend, hopefully something a bit more exciting next week.

Currently really into rockclimbing. Hopefully, by the spring I should be in a position to go outdoors. I hope to travel around Europe hiking, camping and climbing rock.

Got the surfing bug and hope to try that out again soon. I must learn to swim better though.

Other sports include rugby and basketball. Recently got a motorbike and want to start taking short trips across Europe.

Play chess and fascinated by the mathematics of randomness and chance.

Really into comedy and mobster movies. Desperately need to develop a music taste. I read sporadically.

Figs and grapes for breakfast, straight from the orchard of my friends family home in Zakynthos. Never felt more healthier.

Camping on the beaches of the Big Island, Hawaii, for a whole week. We hired a convertible Jeep and slept on a different part of the island every night. Watched the sunrise from the top of the mountain, where the clouds were below us. What a wonderful sight.

In Morocco, slept under the stars for 2 nights and watched the sky so full with stars it was literally just like how the locals say it, 'someone has splashed a bucket of milk across the sky'. I have not seen anything so mesmerising.

All expenses paid trip to NYC, where I stayed at the Waldorf Astoria for 3 nights and hung out with the hip manhattanites and experienced what the rich do for fun.

Sometimes I bring traditional Afghani food over from my parents. If you are a food enthisiast and in luck, I may have some in the fridge cooked by my mum. If you are very lucky, then my dad would have cooked; he hardly ever cooks but when he does it's so delicious and so unhealthy.

It's always been a passion to learn to play the guitar. I even have the guitar if you were up to the challenge.
