CURRENT MISSION
Get to know awesome people on this globe :)
ABOUT ME
Hello there! My name is Anna. I live in the suburbs (I know...) about 30 min from Helsinki city centre, quite near the airport.
About my history... I started travelling (with my own money and without my parents) when I was 15 and been very into it ever since. I also studied tourism and graduated as a travel agent in 2008. During my studies I also lived in Dublin, Ireland for 5 months (practical training period).
I love experiencing new places and meeting new people from different cultures, I love food and parties (as a Finn I might also have a few drinks every now and then, haha)! My other loves are nature and sports.
I can't host as my apartment is pretty small, but I would be delighted to meet up for coffee/drinks or show the city :)
PHILOSOPHY
There's a place in the sun for anyone who has the will.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm really looking forward to meeting new people from different countries and cultures and show them around in Helsinki, go out for drinks/coffee etc. I don't get to see the world as much as I would like to, so for me this a way to bring the world closer to me :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first CS experience was in Warsaw last November, I had met the host in Helsinki when she was surfing on my friends couch. So, me and my friend went to see her in Poland and had a truly great time. I think it's amazing how people can connect and even become friends through CS!
Interests
I can be interested in pretty much anything, especially with the right company :) Trying new things keeps me awake!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love movies and I've seen a lot of them! Can't make a list here but I'm happy to discuss the subject :)
I also read, not as much as I should but I'm trying! I mostly read in English to develope my vocabulary. Lately I've been reading about economy, that's probably why I'm proceeding so slowly :D
Ah, music... Well, I'm a huge The Smiths fan! Lately I've been listening to Eminem and Wu-Tang Clan (I don't know whats gotten into me). Reggae is my long term love. Great chill out music :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen many amazing places and historical sights such as the Giza pyramids, Valley of the Kings, Petra in Jordan, Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque in Istanbul...
My 5 months in Dublin were also pretty amazing!
