About Me
CURRENT WAY OF SURVIVING
Life is considered to be more rewarding than "Hundred Years of Solitude", so be brave and move forward.
ABOUT ME
I'm a musician. When people hear I play ukulele, they think it's a joke. Not really. Lucky enough to have short fingers I had to enjoy ukulele as much as I could. This led to a surprising revelation: ukulele is a real musical instrument with the possibilities of a real musical instrument. That was one of the turning points of my life. Another one happened before - when I was hired as a musician by a bar-owner in Koh Chang, Thailand. In fact, I haven't been even close to a professional musician at that time. There were no other options, but to learn fast and become one. So now I'm close to recording an album.
I'm a writer. Not a real one, but I always wanted to be. Just to get rid of all these images and thoughts inside my head and outside. And because playing with languages is funnier than with people. I used to work as a corrector, proofreader, copyrighter and rewriter, editor. I composed decent lyrics for the most part of my songs. I've translated several books for kids into Russian for a publishing house. Maybe something else. So everything about texts and books. And I'm working on a science fiction book about the world surviving the totalitarian catastrophe. Not writing, mostly just working on the illustrations and its accordance to the physical laws of our planet. In my head it seams to be so much fun.
I'm an old-fashioned creature. It's actually a bit more complicated, but the core remains the same:
- quality depends on the devoted time and love;
- people were born equally responsible for the common sense of the world;
- unbearable instincts are for animals;
- if you're bullshitting or taking what's not yours, you'll witness hell before you die.
The rest is of the same kind.
I'm a cultural anthropologist. That's what I studied together with linguistics. All that comes into my mind meets three questions: "Why?", "What for?" and "What is it like?" Luckily, my life always gives me answers. Most part of them seems to be bad luck at first.
PHILOSOPHY
A drop ruins a stone not by the strength, but by the falling frequency (just in case we meet in person - that's what's tattooed on my ankle).

Music, Movies, and Books
One day I found out that music can contain more than four chords and few repetitive lines on basic needs. Since then whatever touches my soul and moved my brain is appreciated.
Same with books, but mostly in an ever-growing "must-read list" version.
Same with movies. Tim Burton's art above all.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've edited and translated a book with an Ipad mini. It still seems to be a miracle to me.
Teach, Learn, Share
If my teachers and professors new the burden of "life-long education" perception of reality, they would be merciful enough to teach me how to stop it sometimes, as well as to explain that oversharing is only needed when requested.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My vast experience in the depths and the tops of the human's nature.
