About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Tasting life to the fullest every day!

ABOUT ME

Keen to experience as much of the world and its people since I am curious.

My husband (check out his profile at Smittie) and I both probably fit the "crazy Saffa" label as we've jumped off cliffs, paraglyded, camped in snow, outran a blizzard on Mount Edna, sailing the Nile on a felucca, to name just a few of the things we've experienced on our travels and daily lives. The more adventure the better, preferably outdoors in the country.

We are a bit conservative when it comes to the ways of Amsterdam and basic manners. Couchsurfers will have to respect this when deciding to visit our couch. We will likewise respect the ways of the hosts we visit.

We love sharing our stories with anyone who are interested in listening and sharing some of their own over a glass of wine or beer.

We are straightforward, no fuss, laid back - typical of Capetonians.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live......be positive, laugh a lot, be considerate and try to find the good in everything.

In vino veritas!

Having travelled extensively for almost 6 years now, I've realised that one should make the most of each opportunity that presents itself as it won't last forever.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've just been introduced to the CS community and also got my first taste of hosting as my brother and 2 of his friends couchsurfed in our flat as part of their current trip through Europe.

I have a lot to learn but am eager to get involved!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A rewarding and fantastic way to meet new people, see new places and get the inside scoop on what to do and what not to do in a new place.

Interests

Photography, sports in general (in particular running, golf, hiking and swimming), the outdoors and camping, stories (blogging, reading, movies, telling), anything to do with champagne, F-O-O-D (cooking, eating), travelling, design and adventure.
