About Me
ABOUT ME
An amateur-singer, a semi-buddhist, globe-trotter, personal shopper and a student of nursing. But mostly a slightly crazy, warmhearted girl, always in for fun and for making new friends.
PHILOSOPHY
I don't really have a philosophy, but I have learned a lot about Buddhism in India and Nepal in 2010.
I can't explain this in a short story, but I'd like to tell you anything about it in real life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The only Couchsurfing experience I have is travelling through England with my sister and crashing at peoples' places there. It was great and I will be travelling this way much more often! Also, I hope I will have a bigger room one day, so people can stay at my place too. I would love it to show you Utrecht or Delft, where I studied, or any other place in The Netherlands.

In fact I like almost everything. But to give you a short summary:

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies are fantastic, so is Music and Books. I'm not really the kind of person who is watching television a lot, but watching good movies, I love to do. I love arthouse movies and the movies of Quentin Tarentino.
Music;
Actually I love many kinds of music. Going to the opera or visiting North Sea Jazz festival. Going to a salsa party, or raving in the rain in Brighton on dance and trance music. It depends on my mood what I listen, but I like a lot.
I love books really, but somehow I never read. I just can't take the time for it. And when I start reading I forget bout everything around me and finish it in no time.
But explaining what kind of books I read is difficult, because I have read books about buddhism, Nepal and Tibet, i've read detectives en romans. Just to much to mention, but not by far enough!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-Teaching Buddhist monks in Nepal, Sankhu.
-Going to Patna on my own, being robbed, but safed by a very special and nice person who gave me shelter, food and money so I could continue my trip to BodhGaya.
-Going to BodhGaya without money. BodhGaya is the place of Buddha's Enlightment and it is a very special, inspiring and spiritual place to be. Because I was robt, buddhist monks and buddhist people from France, China, Denmark, Nepal and India have helped me and gave me food.
I met the Karmapa on his 900st anniversary and the Shermapa was also an amazing experience.
-Climbing the Lantang mountain with a group of volunteers on a hight of 4600 m.
-Bungeeumping from 160 m high.
So in short, my stay of 3 months in Nepal and India was the most amazing thing I have every done.
Teach, Learn, Share
Oh I realy don't now. I am a curious girl and love to learn new things, new languages, new cultures, new artists, movies, books. I love it when people can give me recommendations about anything or to have a discussion.
And what can I teach?
I don't know really. Since I have been in Bodhgaya and taught English in a Buddhist Monastery, I know a lot about Buddhism. So if that interests you, just ask ahead!
