Overview
About Me
Growing up constituted living out of a suitcase, out of train cabins and car hoods, thanks to my parents' jobs and their love for travel. Stationary growing up happened mostly around the tea gardens and the lush flora and fauna of Assam, in north-east India. Currently, in New Delhi, India, pursuing an undergraduate degree majoring in Sociology and minoring in Journalism, I am extremely passionate about International Relations, having worked closely with MUNs and UNIC.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling has formed a major part of my life, and continues to do so. Couchsurfing, is an amazing platform aiding travels across the world and bridging the gap between travelers and the locals. I'm here to meet more of the local community, know about their lives, customs and traditions, as and when I travel, or when they travel to my part of the world.
Interests
As much as I am a mountain person, I am an out and out beach baby too. I love walks through local villagers and hamlets around mountains. I love swimming and recently did a beginners' course in scuba diving during my last vacation in Thailand. I love capturing moments, mostly through street photography. I am always up for impromptu fun and trips! :D

Music, Movies, and Books
I am currently working with an indie music production label to understand my love for indie music and the intricacies involved. I am not a specific genre type, whatever touches the soul, is my music to my ears, though I am slightly biased towards old school music and folk tunes. I have been an avid bookworm since I was 5. Books have shaped me and moved me in ways I never thought was possible. Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Khaled Hossein and Paulo Coelho, amongst many others, for the win!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Most recently, learning Sign Language, and forming connections with the beautiful deaf and awesome community :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe everyday is an opportunity to learn and grow, and rediscover ourselves. I would love to share whatever I have learnt about the world and it's ways and in turn exchange with people and their stories and adventures on the road.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My love and recommendations for hidden gems, quaint cafés, good music and books.
