About Me

CURRENT MISSION
to become one with the universe...no, seriously

ABOUT ME
I'm a wild, wandering, deeply loving creature!! I enjoy connecting with others, meeting new people, and like to travel whenever and however possible - preferred method being hitchhiking or couch surfing. I am always looking for an adventure and am usually up for just about anything!!! I have travelled many parts of the world including East Africa, Central America, Southeast Asia, and South America. I like being outdoors, on a trail or in the backcountry hiking and camping. I'm also kind of an adrenaline junky! I am into snowboarding, bungee jumping, skydiving, and am working on my pilot's license. I have a scuba certification which I was planning on using to support a stay on some random beach in Central America!! I am currently trying to finish up my medical residency - finally!!! I like to read, talk about anything and everything, am tangential and extremely curious!!! I am excitable, philosophical, and compassionate and wish to share my life with others!!! Most of all, I wish to live forever wild and free...

PHILOSOPHY
Why not?!?!?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I move around a lot, so when I do have a stable couch, it is definitely available for surfing! At the moment, however, I am participating by surfing and sharing my experiences!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A couple summers ago, I hitchhiked across the US - about 12,000 miles... It was a 3 month trip and surfed a couch just about every other night! I met some people that I will keep in my heart for the rest of my life!

Interests

I guess these make the top of the list: chillin, backcountry hiking, camping, people, medicine, reading, traveling, coffee, weird food, my family, tattoos, language, philosophy, religion, creatures, hitchhikers, hammocks...

Teach, Learn, Share

I have quite a bit of academic education as well as travelling experience. I am a physician and have a BS in microbiology and a Masters in International Health and Development. In addition to all the positive aspects of my life, I have experienced many things in life and it has taught me many things about myself and the world I live in! I hope to learn from others as well! My latest interests: learn to rock climbing, kayak, and arranging a medical mission to South America.
