About Me

CURRENT MISSION: Give and receive Love!

ABOUT ME:
My name is Ignacio, but my friends call me Nacho, Naxo, Nachito, etc. Currently I live in Montevideo, Uruguay. I consider myself a friendly, quiet, curious, sensitive and open minded person.
In addition of working hard for transforming Education, in my everyday life I practice Yoga, I LOVE nature, (when I lived in Chile I practiced a lot of hiking), I like eating healthy food, and beeing friendly with nature.
I also like photography, you can take a look at my pictures in my flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/naxoviaje/ or Instagram @naxo_viaje.
I live travelling (I consider that travelling is rather a state of mind than taking a plane to another country), and I like sharing and learning things from diverse people.

PHILOSOPHY (QUOTES THAT INSPIRE ME)
"Be the change you wish to see in the world" (Gandhi)
"I hope nothing. I fear nothing. I'm free" (Kazantzakis)

Music, Movies, and Books

Some books that really stayed in my heart:
- Siddhartha (H. Hesse)
- Demian (H. Hesse)
- Rayuela (Cortazar)
- Cien años de soledad (García Márquez)
- A song of ice and fire (G. R.R. Martin)

Music: I sing in a chorus... hahah. I'm extremely diverse in music preferences. From Lady Gaga to Bach! I listen a lot of Reggae (Positive vibrations!!!) and Latin American music.
Some musicians I love: Bob Marley, Natiruts, Pink Floyd, Nina Simone, Regina Spektor, Amy Winehouse, Bjork, Tool, Cultura Profetica, Violeta Parra, Inti Illimani,

I LOVE movies, they are very important in my life. It's a subject I could be talking about for hours. Some of my favorites:
Salò, or the 120 days of Sodom (Pasolini <3) / Pather Panchali (Satyajit Ray, India) / Wild Strawberries (Bergman) / Baraka and Samsara / Solaris (Tarkovsky is my favorite filmmaker) / Underground (Kusturica) / The Holy Mountain (Jodorowsky) / Satantango (Bela Tarr) / The Idiots (Lars von Trier) / Code inconnu (Haneke) / The constant gardener

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I went to camping with my friends, to the mountains near Santiago. We were lying in the grass, close to a river and a little forest of pines. We were staring at the sky, and there was a tiny cloud floating above us. Suddenly we noticed that the cloud was growing little by little. We looked around us, and we could perceive an extremely faint mist that was emanating from the earth, everywhere around us, and was flowing to the sky. That mist was feeding the cloud and making it grow. Half an hour later, the cloud was very big. While watching the creation of the cloud, I had the feeling that the planet was breathing, that the growing of the cloud was like an inhalation, and that rain would be an exhalation somewhere else. I realised that the Earth is a living being.
