My name is Ignacio Gil, and i'm from Argentina! I really like my country, there are beautiful places to see from south to north and most of the people is very nice. Now

I'm an easygoing and peaceful guy, i've finished my studies when i was 26, and after that i worked for a petrol company. I was not happy with that, working for a big company with lots of rules and everything is not what i want for my time in the earth, so i did it for 2 years and then i bought a ticket to Barcelona to start travelling (2016). I'm very happy with my decision, was a 6 month trip full of beautiful people and nice moments, from Spain to Georgia!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it's great to have the possibility to know people all around the world. You can learn a lot, not only about cultures, about everything. The way we see the world is different everywhere, and every person you meet gives something to your life.

Interests

Art: i have never studied anything related with art, may be only a few guitar lessons, buy is something i really like. I love to explore music from different countries or genders, to see "independent" movies or shortfilms or series, to go to the theatre. I like to learn about subjects like photography, painting or juggling. Any form of expression and creativity is beautiful!

Nature: one of my favourites plans is to go to the montains with friends and spend there a few days, sleeping in a tent and surviving. But just a hikking could be nice too. The beach is also amazing (you feel like a boss when you go swimming and then you drink a beer under the sun), a lake, river, or lay on the ground just to watch the stars. This peaceful moments make me feel happy, may be sounds a little bit cursi or hippie, but is the truth.

Sports: as most of the people in my country, football is my favourite sport. I love to play it with my friends. I don't know if it is right to say longboard here in "sports", but is my profile so i do whatever i want :p i really enjoy to go through the city riding! Then, i enjoy to play everything, like basket, tennis or just running, i like to be active.

Other interests are cooking (food and craft beer! ), travelling of course, going out, growing vegetables and permaculture :) also i love cats!

Movies: Amelie, Pulp Fiction, The Shawshank Redemption, Mary & Max, Memento, Le petit Nicholas, Death at the funeral, Lola rent, 12 angry men and a lot more!

Music: Red Hot Chii Peppers, The Beatles, Pink Floyd... Hip hop, Jazz, Funk, rock, tango... is difficult to say just a few bands!

I like to learn about different cultures, sharing time with local people to feel like i'm part of them for a while. I'm curious about what the people do in their free time all around the world, what they eat, drink, what king of music they listen..

The same as if you go to Argentina! I'll do my best to make you feel that you are argentinian for a while :)
