About Me
Hi everyone!.
I'm from Montevideo, the capital of the small (but charming) Uruguay.
I had the blessing of living abroad for 2 years during my junior and senior years of high school. It was in Huber Heights, Ohio, United States. A small but beautiful neighborhood close to the city of Dayton and 1 hour away from Cincinatti. I met many beautiful persons that are still today among my deepest friends even though it was more than 10 years ago.
When I got back to Montevideo I started going to the University, it took me 8 years to get my Systems Engineer degree while working at the same time, so I haven't had many opportunities to travel the world before graduation. Since then I have been traveling every year and meeting beautiful places and even more beautiful people.
I love the adrenaline of traveling alone and socializing with locals and other travellers, it is an amazing experience.
It is always great to meet new people, from different cultures, because each one will teach you something, each one will make you richer in soul and heart. You can never know who can end up making a huge difference in your life, every person you don't meet is a lost opportunity
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here because I want to meet people in the places I travel to and people who travel to Montevideo. My apartment is not the best for hosting (see my house description) but if it works for you, I am more than happy to host. In any case I am more than willing to try to make your experience in Montevideo betterand easier, I'd love to show you around some nice places in the city when I have the time, and I will be really grateful to whoever wants to help me the same way in the cities I visit.
Interests
I am a huge sports fan. Specially football (soccer), basketball and tennis, so I'm always willing to go to any sport event.
Music is my best company when I'm alone, it creates emotions that are hard to describe. I like pretty much any kind of music, except probably techno, which bores me just after a little while.
Going out with friends to pretty much anywhere, bar, pub, nightclub, movies, pool, drinking.
There's nothing that I enjoy more in the summer than spending an afternoon on the beach and watching the sunset. I feel lucky to live in Uruguay for that!
Of course traveling, meeting new people everywhere I go. I believe the best way to know a city is through the eyes of a local.
A book is always a good company as well, I would read almost anything, but I like mistery novels the most
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I will probably stick with my 2 years in USA, being able to graduate with honours from high school there, without english being my native language. Being able to make so many friends from all over the World (Chile, Mexico, Brasil, Portugal, Czech Republic, Egypt...)
