ABOUT ME
Hi everyone! I'm Ignacio, a 29 years old guy from Chile actually living in Barcelona.
I lived in Amsterdam for one year - a great year-, half a year in San Sebastian (my paradise) and a couple of months in London. Now I moved to Barcelona for studies.
I walk very slowly, trying to get every detail from the places I visit (so if you are in a hurry, it's better not to go out for a walk with me). I also drive slowly, because I listen to music all my way. It is very hard to do two different things at the same time! (so if you are in a hurry, it's better not to ask me if I could take you somewhere).
They have called me Jesus or Devendra Banhart in at least 10 different countries. I don't know if it is a good thing or bad thing. It is something curious though.
I really like bars with some good 60's or 70's tunes, with cheap beer, and with candles.
After a few drinks I have to eat. A lot. Really, a lot. More than normal people do.
They have asked me to show my passport, student id, and all that stuff in at least 5 different train stations. Once they stopped me traveling with my parents. My mother went crazy with the police officers. I just laughed. Maybe I look a bit like a terrorist, but don't worry, I won't make explode your couch.
I write letters - those that involve a pen and paper and slow delivery times - to some friends and family. I think they are very, very personal. You never know what to expect when you receive an envelope like that. It is pretty exciting... until you notice it is just a paper with an awful calligraphy and hieroglyphics on it.
I don't like doing plans. Most of the times I decide 1 or 2 days before traveling that I'm going to travel. It is not the best way to economize and keep a low budget, but it is waaay more interesting. From decisions like that, I have had some of the most memorable moments in my life (and many funny stories from there also). So if you host me, and we start talking and suddenly you have the great idea to ask me 'hey, what are your plans for today while I'm at work?' (or school, or anywhere else...just suppose that you are going out), probably I will answer 'Mmmh, don't know really, any idea? hahaha (natural laugh)'. The same is valid if you ask me for my plans for the next week, month, or even my plans once I leave your place.
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live.
