COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted a few times while in Portland, Oregon. Surfed through Scandinavia during the summer of 2013. Hoping to resume hosting now that I've moved to Chicago.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the middle of the night, I was in Brussels and decided to go find RSC Anderlecht's stadium. There, I tried to peek inside to get a picture of the inside of the stadium, but to no avail. I walked around the stadium to try and find someone to possibly let me in to take a quick picture, when I saw someone inside and waved him down. I spoke no French, Dutch, Flemish, or German, but to my luck, the man was the equipment manager's son, and he spoke Spanish. I used my (then rather broken) Spanish, and he allowed me not only into the stadium, but onto the field itself, provided I took my shoes off. I will never forget that night.
