About Me
Hi everyone! My name is Nadà and I am half Italian and half Syrian. I was born and raised in the U.S and am now living in the south of Spain. Growing up in a multi-cultural household has always made me curious and hungry to explore and learn more about the beautiful world we live in.
My hobbies include cooking, reading, working out, hiking, and of course, traveling! You will catch me on a bus, train, or plane, whenever I have free time. Traveling for me is about learning, appreciating, and loving the world and the people that inhabit it.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect- Mark Twain
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I signed up for Couchsurfing because it was recommended to me by my dear friend and roommate. She shared several impactful traveling experiences she had that were thanks to this platform.
I have always been an extremely sociable person and find myself happiest when meeting and connecting with people from different parts of the world. When I found out there was a platform where its main purpose is to help people do that... there was no way I couldn't join!
I am so excited to be able to use this as a medium to discover new places and connect with incredible people :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first solo trip! About 2 months ago I had a free weekend and needed to clear my head before making a big move from Italy to Spain (I had been living in Milano for a year). I did some research and decided on Gambarogno, a small town in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland across the lake from Lugano.
I packed my hiking shoes, some leggings, my journal and my kindle. Next thing I knew I found myself in a tiny one-room air bnb tucked under a gorgeous mountain range looking over Lago Maggiore. I spent 3 days with no phone, hiking during the day, reading and journaling in the evenings, and cooking delicious meals for myself at night.
My mind and body felt so at peace and I was feeling wonderful. I was so proud of myself of doing something that I was somewhat nervous going into and didn't have any idea of what to expect.
Cheers to solo trips!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to share my knowledge about mindset, daily routines, finance, food, exercise, and general wellbeing/lifestyle overall as this is a big interest of mine and something I try to better everyday :) Learning from others on what they do to be their best selves is something I very much appreciate!
I can teach whoever is interested some Italian and English as I am lucky enough to be fluent in both languages. I lived in Milano for one year and have been traveling to Italy since I was 1 month old so if you need traveling advice on this magnificent country or any curiosities answered, I'm your gal!
I am an open book so ask me anything and I will give you an honest answer full of stories and my general outlook! I am a very curious person so I love to ask questions and listen to people's answers and experiences that they are willing to share :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to cook so preparing and sharing a meal with great company is one of my favorite activities to do and I would be more than happy to do this with hosts and fellow travelers.
I also love language exchanges so if you're looking to learn English or Italian we can speak in our languages to learn from each other :) I'm currently deep diving into Spanish so I would love to speak Spanish as much as possible!
I am a very open person so if there's anything you would like to do in specific just ask and I will try my best!
