About music:
Folk and traditional to jazz, rock, electronic:

Folk and regional music of cultural Iran like Khorasan Dotar(instrument),Gilak Lalevaa (instrument),Doodook Armenian (instrument) etc. and also folk music of the world.

Traditional music of Iran is so good and so close to Persians: Shajarian, Lotfi, Alizadeh, Kalhor ... ;)

some basic: Damin Rice, Radiohead, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Linkin Park, Archive, Porcupine Tree, Blackfeild, Metallica, AIR, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd(oh my god!), Dido, Puerto Muerto, Dresden Dolls, Coldplay, Nick Cave and the bad seeds, ............ (Not enough):D

classical: Mozart ,Chopin (specially Nocturnes) , Vivaldi and Bach (Solo Cello) are my favorites.

and Philip Glass, Yann Tiersen, Diana Krall, and most of OSTs,

also: Sigur Rós, Worm is Green, Logh, Epic45, Shearwater, Ólafur Arnalds, Message to Bears, Balmorhea, Azure Ray, Dredg, Clint Mansell's works.
