Overview
About Me
Exploring the world and trying to find myself in it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My friend encouraged me to try couchsurfing with her when we were in Japan, and those were the trips which are my best memories now. I think the concept of Couchsurfing is perfect, and for me it was a revelation to learn that there are so many kind, open-hearted people, who are ready to help and share their stories and experience with the world. I'm really excited about going for new adventures and meeting new people, and Couchsurfing is the best way to experience it to the full.
Interests
I like walking at night, dancing in the streets, laughing about something which seems fun only for me and the person who I'm with, letters, weird handwriting, flea markets (even if I don't buy anything, it's still fun), guitar music, tango, good tea, good food, debating on existence of national character, whatching the stars and sunsets, origami, falling asleep on the trains, trains in general, mountains, fires, sun, singing, not having a certain destination in travel, the feeling of wet grass touching my feet, the smell of just baked cakes, old books, reading old books, buying new books, penguins and seals, dark blue color, flowers, and people who smile when they feel like it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen not to the certain bands or singers, I listen to the music, so it's difficult to compile a short list. As for instrumental masters, it would be Schumann, Shostakovich and Rakhmaninov. As for old bands, ot would be Deep Purple and Pink Floyd. My favourites are Muse, Mumford and Sons, Franz Ferdinand, Daughter, Florence and the Machine. Among Russian band and musicians, I like Lumen, Alai Oli, Splin, Aquarium, Assai and Malinen.
Talking about movies, my favourite is Whiplash, I've watched it about ten times and it's still not enough. Writing a thesis on silent movies got me into Chalrie Chaplin's works, Modern Times is the best. Also Artist, Leon, Fight Club, Scott Pilgrim vs the World and a bunch of Russian movies which you've most possibly never heard of, but I can share if you are interested (:
LIterature is big list too, so to cut it short let's say I love Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, Mayakovsky, Hemingway, Maugham, Remarque, Bradbury, Mishima and Murakami.
