About Me

Hi, I'm Nadia from Switzerland and just joined Couch Surfing. I love travelling and it's my first time going on a longer trip on my own.
I'm an aspiring composer and at the moment enrolling at the University of Arts in Zurich. My passion for music includes playing the guitar and the violin, listening to all types of music - preferably pop, jazz or classical (though I'm always open to new styles), going to concerts and singing.
In my free time I love to try out new things like river rafting, paragliding, taking tap dancing or tango lessons or whatever crosses my way.
I love the theatre and the movies. Currently, I got the chance to act as an extra in an opera which I love. I hope to be working for the theatre in the future too.
Lately I've developed a great interest in East Asia and its culture. I'm half Indian but haven't been outside India so far. I'm really looking forward to get to know the Korean, Japanese and Taiwanese culture!
I'm a rather quiet person but once I get to know people better I open up and I'm up for every adventure!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

From June to September this summer I'm going on a trip to South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Singapore. As I'm travelling alone I'd love to meet new people and to really dive into the culture of the place I'm staying at. I'm also on a tight budget, which means couch surfing would fit perfectly.
I heard from friends about their great experiences with couch surfing and therefore wanted to try it out myself.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess the upcoming travel will be the most exciting thing I'll have done so far.
Other than that - not sure if I'd call that amazing - I interrupted my architecture studies and got accepted to study music composing together with 5 other students.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you how to play the guitar, if you want to be able to accompany your's or your friends' singing, or I can show you how to write your own music if that's in your interest. I'll be carrying my own little music studio around with me.
I can also share some delicious Swiss chocolates with you if they survive the summer heat...
