Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore and do good in the world
And be outside mostly all the time.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in Santa Cruz, and have an appreciation for the plant world and social justice.
I'm a recent grad from a small, alternative college in southern California - I studied Global Food Systems and printmaking.
I've lived in Oregon, Northern and Southern California, Colorado, and spent a lot of time visiting different countries.
Professionally, I'm in the world of school food systems and garden- based education. I believe all kids have a right to healthy food, and the tools and knowledge to make healthy choices for themselves. Have you ever grown food with kids? Hands down, the most exciting and rewarding experience I've had.
I'm Generally outdoorsy - down with hiking, slacklining, snowboarding, camping, biking, beach days. I'm fairly quiet, introspective and really easy going. I come from a beach town in California, so surfing and running around on the beach are integral parts of my life.
Generally a peaceful, easy-to-get- along-with person, who loves hearing stories.
PHILOSOPHY
I don't know where I'm going but I'm on my way.
(Carl Sagan said it, but I agree)

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music that sounds better live than recorded.
The best live performances I've seen in recent years are Sylvan Esso, Andrew Bird, First Aid Kit.
I'm finally learning to read for fun again, but a constant love is Kurt Vonnegut. Les Miserables, The Poisonwood Bible, and Things Fall Apart have been really important to me as well.
