A little bit about me:

My name is Nadiia, I'm from Ukraine, and I bring a deep passion for social business and creating positive changes in the world that inspire, regenerate, and develop with people who are just as passionate about it.

In my home country, Ukraine, I сo-foundered Goal Ukraine: Inclusive Football for Children project aimed to provide opportunities for children with disabilities to play football, developing their physical and social skills; launched a social enterprise Moim Ridnym aimed at supporting elderly people in their self-realisation; and implemented Charity Dinners in the dark where the waiters and musicians were blind, providing them with jobs, and breaking stereotypes in society.

With the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, my life has changed a lot: my hometown has been occupied, I had to stop working on some social projects and start volunteering for Ukraine's victory, and later seek sanctuary abroad.

Currently based in the UK, I am immersed in three areas of work: restoring and scaling up Goal Ukraine: Inclusive Football for Children in different regions of Ukraine; launching The Good Drones, a social enterprise creating jobs for vulnerable social groups in the UK while producing life-saving drones for Ukraine; and initiating U-Future, a thriving ecosystem of Ukrainian social enterprises in the UK, empowering displaced Ukrainians to become agents of positive change, contributing significantly to the British economy and both the UK and Ukrainian societies, and inspiring a global movement of social entrepreneurship.

I'm open to connecting, exchanging ideas, and sharing experiences, and I'd love to meet up for a walk or a pint (I can't believe I'm writing this, because a year ago I didn't like pubs or beer at all!), and just to get to know to new people. I can also take pictures of you on my camera (I love taking pictures of people and nature).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I had to leave Ukraine because of the war, I met incredible people from Couchsurfing who became friends and even family for me. I want to give back for the goodness I've received and keep meeting incredible people❤️

I believe that by uniting we can make a massive contribution to transforming our world for good.
