About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Follow Tintin's Footsteps
ABOUT ME
I studied Politics in College and now I study comics in life. Specifically, I am travelling around the world with a grant to study the colonial implications of The Adventures of Tintin. For the next year that quest is taking me to Brussels, Paris, Cairo, Dubai, Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong.
Other things: I was born in San Diego, CA, then my family moved us to Beirut, Lebanon, then back to San Diego, CA, then I went to college in Walla Walla, WA - but I took a break to live in Chicago, IL - and now i'm all over the world. I am Lebanese-Iraqi- Swedish and I like making friends!
PHILOSOPHY
To be as much like the kid at exactly 2:37 of this video as possible: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5MC8u27prw

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2008, I worked for the Barack Obama campaign in Chicago. The work was often tedious and the hours were long, but it all became very worth it on election night when I saw him deliver his acceptance speech in Grant Park. The moment made everything I was doing until then catch up with me and was one of the most memorable nights of my life.
