I'm a 25 year old student, recently moved out of Amsterdam to a beautiful city named Leiden. I love frikandellen, and have an enormous wanderlust. The Netherlands have got a lot to offer, but there are so many things to see and to do, I just can't wait to explore them all!

I live in the smallest house ever so I can't host, but I'm always up for showing you the city!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I love to meet new people, and hear out their stories. On way to do that is via Couchsurfing! A couple of summers back I went traveling throughout Indonesia and Malaysia/Singapore. On our way we slept at a local family in Malaysia. This really was a perfect way to learn about the culture, their habits etc. That you'll never experience while sleeping in a hostel/hotel. Two summers back I went backpacking through America and Iceland, and I was as welcome as I was in Malaysia. I've had an amazing time with each and one of my hosts! I can go on for a while, it's just lost of fun!!

Music: My taste of music is pretty broad. I really love The Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys, Lumineers, Bear's Den and Mumford and Sons. I also love to play lp's of for example Neil young, Dire Straits, Bob Marley or Buena Vista Social Club, and I love to sing along with the all time classics of the Backstreet Boys.

Movies: Green mile, Saving Private Ryan, Shawshank redemption, Silence of the Lambs, Schindlers list, Seven, Intouchables, and (of course!) everything from Quentin Tarantino.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Hiking through Malaysian rainforest until the top of the mountain was reached. Getting scared along the way as we saw a ninja-looking guy with a big sharp sword-looking knife, turns out, he and his Singaporean friends were just making lunch :) We ended up becoming friends and met them in Singapore again!

Going to Iceland - seeing a whale, and the Northern lights!!

Moving to Canada to start a new adventure!

I'm a fun (at least I like to think I am) and clean/neat person, always honest and I hate injustice. I'm also quite direct, something Dutch people are really good at haha. In return for a spot on your couch, I'm always willing to help out, cook (I can make the best pancakes and have an amazing (with capital A) chocolate brownies recipe), clean, or sing!
