Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There's never enough time when visiting a new place to really get to know but i reckon couchsurfing is the closest you're going to get. I think there's so much more value in staying with locals than hostels promoting tourist deals. I am far more interested in the lives of people who live in the places I visit than what the guide book says.

I host couchsurfers with my boyfriend in our flat in London.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Me and my best friend once got stranded 3000mtrs up at a Buddhist monestry where we weren't in fact allowed to stay the night and had to climb down the mountain and convince a local to let us stay in his daughter's room. It didn't seem amazing at the time, but its certainly stuck in my memory.

I will happily bake for any host I stay with :) Plus I can knit and sew and teach most card-games without having to speak the same language.
