Music, Movies, and Books
I love reggae, jazz, World music, Alternative 80's and 90's music, country, all music that has a good beat and solid lyrics. I have a eclectic tastes - I like movies as silly as Bad Boys, cute as Under the Tuscan Sun and critically acclaimed like Crash. I like a good script, stellar acting, and good story. I like foreign films and learning about a culture through their art. I like cook books and lots of fiction. Since I have had my business I barely read fiction which I miss since I was trained as an English teacher. I like learning about others favorite music, movies, and books so I can explore stuff I might ever have had access too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I created this train the trainer program called Master Cooks Corps. They are 37 passionate community cooks that volunteer and teach cooking demos and cooking classes around New Haven. I am so proud of them because New Haven is a city that has limited funds to address serious heath issues. These cooks help to stir of solutions and show New Haveners how to cook themselves well. I am proud because with a limited budget we solved a problem and has the people excited about healthy food because they are taught by their very capable neighbors.
