ABOUT ME
* Used to be Neuroscience researcher in Los Angeles but somehow became a full-time travel content creator (YouTube/Facebook/Instagram @NadirontheGo). Have been basically traveling since May 2020
Quick story: On a week-long trip to El Salvador a few years ago, I stayed at a hostel where I got to chill with 7 other guys from 7 countries. Every night we discussed cultural differences and shared stories over drinks about our hometowns, all while laughing our asses off. Interactions like that is what brings me to this site and inspires me to travel :)
I love surfing, basketball, Chipotle. math, dancing to electronic music and buying drinks I can't afford for strangers.
Spaniards and Galicians say the perfect word to describe me is "flipado".
I spent my childhood in Dhaka and I've been in the US for the most part since. At home in LA, I am a super-nerd. Unless there is a big DJ coming to town I usually code on the weekends. But when traveling, I party/go out around around 2-7 nights/week, depending on the crowd at my hostel. I believe personal growth is best achieved by stepping out of one's comfort zone, which is why I like to do dumb shit like travel around Central America without a phone or Spanish language skills.
PHILOSOPHY
To live an authentic life, think often about death. Recognize that we have limited time to do the things we love and be with the people that matter.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In LA, I have been hosting a series of bi-weekly CS events/pre-gaming parties before going to underground Techno parties.
While traveling, I attend meetups to meet fellow travelers and locals
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
While I usually do hostels or stay with friends, I couchsurfed with strangers while I was living in Iceland in 2013, then in Phoenix and Marseilles in the last 2 years. I have found CS events to be great for meeting fellow travelers and locals
Interests
Techno, Psy-trance and House music. dancing (cutting shapes), learning about new cultures, videography, neuroscience, applied math, history (ancient and modern), reading novels, wildlife (I love animals and my life-goal was to own a zoo for the longest time till I realized how inhumane they are), basketball, college (American) football and actual football.

Music, Movies, and Books
You will have to look up my facebook pages to get the list of musical artists and movies I like. Christopher Nolan is my favorite director. My favorite music genre growing up was 80s/90s rock and metal, but I have gotten hooked to Electronic music over the last few years and am always looking for good parties. I read plenty of sci-fi/adventure novels, history books and other thought-provoking reads
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I probably got 10+ cell-phones lost/stolen/wrecked during my teenage years. My mom thinks that's pretty amazing
Teach, Learn, Share
- I have taught a few introductory programming classes (Python, R and Matlab) and could provide programming help if you're terrible at it.
- I could also help with math/English/physics homework if you're taking university level classes.
-I am an avid photographer and I could try to take some nice photos of you for your linkedin/tinder/whatever

Also, i can offer loads of stories that my friends find hilarious, mostly of me getting into weird situations over and over and over again (with and without the help of booze).
