About Me

So, what's to say about me ... long long time ago, I was a passionate handball player. That's the reason why I studied Sport Science (bachelor's degree) in Stuttgart. After my studies I somehow finished up on Crete as a host for Robinson Club. Wow - 8 month of amazing experiences, so I stayed in the hotel business for another 1,5 years. But working in an hotel means "you are crazy busy all the time" and when you have free time - you're just tired. That sucks. Therefore I studied MBA International Business with people all over the world (Nicaragua, Iran, Ukraine, Madagascar, Burma, South Africa etc.). I'm so thankful to have met all those people - what they have taught me about other cultures and habits can't be learned from book. And now, I work in Switzerland as an Projectmanager and Assistant.

But to make it short: I try to live on the bright side of live =).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't like the tourist hotspots in a city or country. I'd like to experience what is behind the tips of the Lonelyplanet or other guidebooks - the true way of living. I tried on my own, did lot's of research of the country, but I failed and now I hope it is possible with Couchsurfing.

Interests

I love to do yoga and of course travelling. I'm passionate in learning about complex systems - like the way of thinking. Currently I read a book "Thinking fast and slow" written by Daniel Kahnemann - fascinating...

Music, Movies, and Books

Puh, I would say a bit of everything - Jack Johnson, Pink, The Killers, First Aid Kit and many many more.

I think I'm kind of a softy - I can't watch horror movies and psychological thriller. But Kill Bill, The Butterfly Effect and Django Unchained are ok.

My favorite book is "Die Kuh die weinte", written by Ajahn Brahm. A buddhist from Australia. He wrote lot's of short stories about life lessons and how to come along with different situations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking vacation in Norway with my best friend and bathing in a glacial lake - I didn't know that water can be so cold =)

Countries I’ve Visited

Croatia, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Tunisia

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Switzerland
