About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet new friends, find a good pub, and be happy in Brighton UK
ABOUT ME
I'm a California native and I live in England now getting my masters degree. I lived in Seoul, South Korea for three years teaching English and I've enjoyed being an expatriate these past four and a half years but I'm looking forward to going back to California in a few months. I grew up in an artistic household and I love drawing, photography and writing. After taking a great beer brewing class at Davis with Charles Bamforth, I've become really interested in beer and microbreweries (a wannabe beer connoisseur), I'm trying to go to as many breweries as possible, my current favorites are Russian River and Unibroue.
I really enjoy laughing, I'm drawn to funny people and I'm always on the lookout for people that have the same obscure sense of humor as me.
PHILOSOPHY
Everything that happens, negative or positive, is a learning experience
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I can't host anyone but I would love to get together with other CSers for a beer/coffee or board game especially in Brighton where I don't know anyone.
I was involved in the CS community in Korea and I'm hoping to meet some CSers in Canada.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was involved with couchsurfing a lot in 2010-2011, and I even got a friend through CS to teach me how to make beer which was pretty cool. I also met a cool Colombian who taught me Spanish for about 5 months though the site.
Interests
People, stories, board games, beer, becoming a better photographer, becoming a better writer, laughing, learning how to cook.Korea. England.
I'm interesting in restarting my spanish (which is very poor due to lack of practice) and if anyone is interested in a spanish speaking meetup let me know!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love reading, whatever I'm currently reading becomes my new favorite book. I am six books into A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) and when I finish the seventh book I will have to move on, any suggestions?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved across the world to a country where I didn't know anyone and couldn't speak the language and everything worked out fine.
Teach, Learn, Share
This past year in Brighton has been a great experience for me to study with my professors and all the other international students from all over the world. I was able to study education in a multicultural environment and learn about how differently people experience education all over the world.
