Overview
About Me
It is kind of hard to state ALL about me, but these are the most important facts about me: I feel these adjectives would describe me best: easygoing, adventurous, courageous, honest, laid back, open-minded and responsible. I consider myself a jet setter-wannabe. If I had the money, I'd be a nomad! My number one goal is to travel. All my paychecks go to that purpose. I feel so lucky that I have been able to travel a bit in the past few years. My Eurotrip is coming up and I'm excited for it!
I am still an undergrad at UNC where my majors are EN-ES translation and anglophone literature.
I am very tolerant and I can put up with most difficult situations (within limits).
I'm very tidy and respectful of people's spaces and privacy.
I consider myself to be very chill and kind of lazy as regards nightlife. I turned 30 and I now prefer to go out for drinks and have good conversations rather than dancing my feet off 3 or 4 times a week (especially in my city where nightclubs close at 5am). I may do it once in a while now, but not like in the past!
I LOVE animals and I respect them sometimes even more than people. I especially love dogs. I have always had dogs and it is sad to say that the last one passed away a couple of months ago (she was 15 years old, snif).
I am pro- technology and I like discovering new things to do with it.
I have been teaching English since 2008 and I find it a lot of fun. I've had great experiences year after year.
I'm seriously running out of things to say. I think I should stop now.
I think I should get verified... humm
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When in Argentina, I live at home with my family which is in the suburbs. My parents are older folks so hosting is hard. I do use this website to meet up with people and show them Cordoba. I feel guilty and I know that whenever I get my place, I'll give back to CS. So, I have only surfed couches and they have been great experiences. I can hardly wait to surf again :D
When I am surfing, I feel it's a must to bring a piece of my culture. I usually bring Argie goodies to share with my hosts. I also feel it is important to share moments with the host. I have very fun memories from my stays. If I were to look for a place to crash, I'd go to a hostel.
Hopefully I will be able to give back to CS one day.
I do like being the local who shows people around my city.
I feel that CS is an opportunity to meet new people and create new connections.
Interests
I like learning languages, going to the movies, sightseeing, go to coffeehouses (cof, cof, Starbucks, cof, cof), taking a zillion photos, posting them on Facebook, cooking, playing with dogs, and, of course, TRAVELLING. I'm not picky: by train, plain, car, hitchhiking, staying in hostels, crappy hotels, b&b's, and rarely... in nice hotels. I haven't stayed in a fancy hotel since, hum, 2004- Mexico. And I didn't even pay for it because I was working part-time as a nanny! haha
I have recently signed up for Airbnb too, but I don't know how I feel about it yet.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I love going to the movies and I try to go as often as possible. I will pretty much watch anything. I love foreign movies. Popcorn consumers, those who cannot chew with their mouths closed, kill the fun of going to the movies.
Music: I'll listen to different genres. I usually ask my friends what they listen to and add new songs to my phone. There is a random list of multi-genre songs. Other than that, I always tend to listen to those particular songs in my phone. I'm glad that I'm now using Spotify because I choose lists and listen to new music. I usually listen to music while I'm riding the bus to school or to work and I feel I have two modes: skip every single song or just listen to whatever is on and daydream.
Books: as a lit major, I love reading but I wish I would have the time to read more. I'm a bit old to say this, but I love the YA books! I took this YA lit class and I had a lot of fun. I guess I could write my own YA book someday.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Maybe I should list some amazing things I've seen and little accomplishments:
Argentina: saw the most amazing waterfalls.
Brazil: I traveled on the subway and bus without knowing the language and without a map.
Israel: floated in the Dead Sea. Bought things in the shuk and fighted for the price.
Egypt: climbed Sinai Mount. Saw the pyramids.
Italy: ate the most amazing food. I felt part of history.
United States: discovered that the art I always studied in pictures, was real. Survived!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always curious. I wanna know everything.
I also want to share everything I know. Languages, local cuising, history, literature.
