I live here in Salt Lake City UT. I'm originally from Colorado but moved to UT for a new adventure. I fell in love with the easy access to the outdoors and the awesome people that live here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I signed up for this site with intent to actually use it a couple years ago but was never really able to utilize it! I am finally at a point with my career where I can take time to travel around. Because of this I don't have references yet, but I'm more than happy to share my social profiles and talk over the phone so that you may get to know me.

I'd like to meet the locals of where my destinations are. I want to embrace the culture and lifestyles of all the other curious people out there like me. I find it best to jump into the deep end and experience what you can while you're traveling!

Interests

Draw, Write, Good Book, Rec League Sports - kickball and flag football, concerts, music, live comedians, venturing around a city I don't know! I do love to cook. I'm no Rachael Ray but I find it therapeutic and it's always fun to try new things in the kitchen!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love any music with a beat. I'm a Beyonce, Jack Johnson, Classical Mozart and Shania Twain lovin' Spotify surfer. One of my favorite spots here in Salt Lake has live jazz on Saturday nights and authentic Cajun cuisine. Coolest things during the summer are the festivals and local bands that come through the SLC valley!

Movies are always nice but I hate going to the theatre. I just recently watched Breakfast at Tiffany's for the first time in my life (how I went this long is beyond me). I'm a person that doesn't necessarily like sitting through a movie when I know there's so much more I could be doing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked my first solo trip up Mt. Timpanogos last summer. It was an overnight backpack adventure and I tell you what: it was SO beautiful! I ended up waking up to a herd of mountain goats next to my tent! The whole experience was actually moving. I know it seems silly that a backpacking hike in my local area is the experience I'm listing, but it was the most neat and mind opening nights I've ever had.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a social girl so I love learning about people and their backgrounds. Let's grab a whiskey or a local glass of wine or cook some dinner together! I am more than comfortable finding my way around the area on my own but like to hang out and see what you get yourself into! If you have a favorite hike or bike path? A favorite brunch spot or sports team we could catch a game?

I can offer some great conversations, stories of fun and crazy experiences and will always leave my living space cleaned and better than when I found it! I'd like to offer anything I can help with that could enrich or better your life!
