About Me

Well, I'm not a big fan of writing essays. So here are some facts about me:

- I work as a game designer and partially a computational linguist in a startup. We develop mobile applications and games for learning foreign words. So I write code in Python and C#, know some machine learning technics and analytic tools. I love games and I hope that we can create such a game that will teach you foreign language in a relaxed and enjoyable way.

- My main and most favorite hobby is mountain hiking! Mountains are my passion. Every summer I enthusiastically head to even higher and more difficult routes than last year. Each time I find my self in awful situation when it is so cold, so far from comfort and so dangerous that I promise myself - NEVER will I go to the mountains again. Next summer - same story. It's like a drug.

- As mountain hiking is a very hard activity - I need to be in a good shape. So I am a very sporty person - I love jogging, swimming, riding a bike, playing badminton. I try not to miss an opportunity to take part in Moscow orienteering contests.

- I love cats! And some dogs too. I can't afford one at home because I spend so little time at home that my potential pet has few chances to survive.

- I don't smoke. I like wine. Sometimes I like beer.

- I am a big fan of reading books, especially sci-fi and nonfiction.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think the best way to know a new country is not just sightseeing and walking around but also finding a local friend! And Couchsurfing is the best way to do that.

At first I started as a host and had several couchsurfers in my house which was a nice experience, because everybody was so friendly and grateful plus brought me some presents! Now I rent a small room closer to the city center and come home only to sleep, so I don't have opportunity to host travellers but I hope some day I will afford having a big house for me and my friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to Burning Man festival and that was AWESOME!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am quite good at cooking. So if I have time and products I can cook something and even teach you :) Though I don't cook Russian cousine, I prefer to cook Italian and Georgian. When I travel, I will gladly treat you to something I make myself if I find proper products in some local supermarket.

And usually I am very easily persuaded to do crazy stuff because my life purpose is to get new positive experience! Go to the mountains? YES! Go for a bike ride? Of course! Go visit your granny in the far-far village? Let's do it!

I am not a fan of night life and clubs, but I love walking all day till deadly tired seeing as much as I can!
