Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a citizen of the world, social, I love meeting people & learning new things. I think couchsurfing is not merely to look for places to stay but a great platform to interact with lives we would otherwise not have. The beauty of exploring the new places, people through different eyes have been made easier by couch surfers.

Some Quotes about meeting people and travelling :

If you have carefully examined hundred people you met in your life journey, it means that you have read hundred different books! Every person you know is a book; world is full of walking books; some are boring, some are marvellous, some are weak, some are powerful, but they are all useful because they all carry different experiences of different paths! - Mehmet Murat Ildan

I meet people and they become chapters in my stories. - Avijeet Das

When I met you You felt only mine... - Avijeet Das

Travel makes one modest, you see what a tiny place you occupy in the world. - Gustave Flaubert

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness. - Mark Twain

How I got to know about Couchsurfing:

This is how it started. It happened when I was living as a student in a city called Aarhus in Denmark. One day I was out photographing in downtown Aarhus and I heard this beautiful song and guitar being played by a person named Vlad. I stood there listening to the song. That time I knew nothing about Couchsurfing. Vlad was waiting for his Aussie guest surfer Aaron to join. We had a conversation, and they invited to couch surfers party the same evening. It was a house party hosted by a pretty young Danish couch surfer. There I learned how this whole thing works and about events. I even attended several Free Hugs and Flash mob events to Photograph.
