To complete a self-driven safari through Namibia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique

ABOUT ME

I currently live in Clapham Junction, London with my hubby and two surfboards and a spider called Harry Webb. I work for a global company no one ever heard of but everyone uses its products. I thought I finished studying once and for all, however my job requires me to study even more now! So hopefully I will be able to fund my safari :)

Few more things about me:
-I don't smoke, but I would never refuse a pint ;)
-I love driving a car, however had to switch to trains as a cost reduction measure. But it doesn't stop me moaning about London traffic, haha!
-I'm always up for some sightseeing or a nice walk
-I like pets, especially cats
-I'm addicted to scuba diving
-I have recently picked up powerkiting, and that became my second expensive hobby

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a spacious sofa in the lounge and even some extra space for an airbed! So couchsurfers are more than welcome!

I'm always up for a meeting/gathering/guiding :) I took part in some meetings already and I'm happy to participate in more

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have never surfed myself (except crashing at my friends') but already hosted a number of people in need and arranged a number of meetings with couchsurfers during my travels.

Interests

My passion for cooking and baking is well-known already, so if you are lucky there is always something freshly made in the kitchen :)

I have quite a considerable collection of earrings

I'm addicted to watching CSI - never missed an episode! In your request please mention what was the last film you enjoyed watching :) If this is not included I will automatically decline the request.

I love being outdoors, whether on a short walk in a park or on a longer trip in the mountains. I wish I could have a dog that would force me to have a daily dose of fresh air! But luckily I have a kite now and it gives me a reason to go out :)

Music, Movies, and Books

CSI above all, although I know I would never be able to work as one in my life! I have an occasional weakness for a rom-com though ;)

Fascinated about books by Andrzej Stasiuk and Wilbur Smith

As for music, I don't fancy loud music. I prefer to listen to anything in the background and don't really pay much attention to lyrics

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen an underwater black and red slug! :) Spent three weeks in a forest with no toilet and no running water. Been on 12 wandering camps and 5 scout camps. Just realised I was supposed to mention just one thing... Oh well...

Teach, Learn, Share

I think I could teach many useful cooking tips and also learn from you. I am really interested in learning about people's regional cuisine and traditions.
Although I love baking a chocolate cake, I'm not particularly keen on chocolate, so you can have it all!

Oh, and if it's windy, and you would like to try to fly a power kite, we could arrange that! :)
