About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learning, learning, always learning. And to use what I learn to grow myself, and thus help make the world more beautiful.
ABOUT ME
I'm a bit of a homebody when I'm there, but also love exploring, traveling, and meeting new people and seeing new vistas along the way. I recently got into motorcycling, and fell in love with rock climbing. Gardening is a major passion in life, and I run a landscaping company.
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live, as life is for living.
Humanity belongs to the earth, and not vice-versa.
Most importantly: Find the Balance. In all things.

Generally, my couch has been occupied by members of my community, although I'm stoked to meet complete strangers.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Ambient and downtempo electronica, drum n bass, experimental techno, the Grateful Dead, sts9, classical, jazz, blues.
Movies: generally documentaries and art films. Anything odd and eccentric. Nature films are my bag.
Books: topics such as deep ecology, philosophy, spirituality, relationships, anything by Gary Snyder and Wendell Berry, beat authors, some poetry. Usually non-fiction, but I'm starting to enjoy more fiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, one of the most amazing trips I've done was 5 months backpacking around South America. I went alone, and on my very first day in Lima I met a woman with whom I traveled for much of the next four months. All it took was a warm hello to a lovely person in an unfamiliar setting, and I met someone whom has become one of my most cherished friends. Years later, I managed to get myself over to Europe to visit, and had a thoroughly amazing experience exploring Germany and Denmark, and reconnecting with my friend.
The trip took me through the Andes, the depths of Amazonia, a canoe trip in a national park in the jungle, river boats in hammocks, back over the Andes to the coast, up the coast to Ecuador, back into the Andes there, and beyond. It was an amazing experience in finding myself, growing in my confidence, and realizing that I'm so much more than I believe myself to be.
Teach, Learn, Share
Although I could probably mention a bunch of physical things which have been meaningful in my life, probably the most important lesson I've received is trust.
Simple trust: in myself, in the divine, in other people. Trust that my life is unfolding exactly as it's meant to; trust that I'm in the right place at the right time; trust that people come into my life at exactly the right moments, teach me exactly what they´re meant to, and leave when they must. Learning this is definitely a life journey, with constant necessary reminders.
The universe is a powerful force - it helps to pay attention, let go of your preconditioning, drop your ego, observe yourself, and allow.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm quite into landscaping / gardening, rock climbing, and meditation. I'm also really tidy in living spaces and keen in the kitchen, happy to pitch in for meals, and always doing the dishes ;)
