ABOUT ME

After college i started doing what everyone does, acquiring a bunch of shit you don't want, need, or care about. I had a career, house, dog, car, health insurance, girl friend, etc...

After a couple of years I decided there is more to life than owning stuff so i got rid of it all and started traveling. Actually, the only thing I miss is my dog. That little bastard was no ordinary dog. I think he was part bad ass and part amazing or something.

Anyway, the realization that true happiness does not revolve around stuff, but more the people and places you experience in life has been a pivotal point I wish I would have made earlier in my life.

PHILOSOPHY

I am like a frosted mini wheat because I am healthy on one side and a party on the other. You are just a frosted flake.

Surfing is more fun naked.

When you are truly honest with yourself and to others around you, those who you come into contact with will want to open up to you.

Capitalism is the last vestige of Darwinism.

You can't get lost when you don't know where you are going.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I learned about this website from a buddy of mine in Orlando. I think couch surfing is the best use of the internet thus far. So far, I've hosted a bunch of people. I haven't used it for a place to stay, but I'm looking forward to it. Usually i get to a place and meet someone or already know someone who points me in the right direction before I start contacting CS'ers.

So far so good. I have not had any bad experiences. Everyone has been real cool.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've traveled a good bit of the planet, and enjoyed every new place I've visited. I think some of the best memories are when you can get in with the locals and really have a good time. I remember the first time i went to Costa Rica, we had a soccer ball with us. We started kicking around in some little town while we were stretching our legs, and before we knew it we had a 30 man game going on with all the kids, adults, dogs, etc... Those are the unexpected pleasures of traveling that you don't see in a post card.
