CURRENT MISSION

My "current mission", saying that makes me feel like an undercover agent... :) so for the fun of it I'm going to write like that.

My current mission is to infiltrate Australia with a work/holiday visa. Once I've succeeded at that, the tricky stuff begins. I have to live for a whole year in Australia and do stuff normal tourists do without blowing my cover. It is going to be a challenge, I'll have to live, eat and breath Australia, but I have the motivation and willpower to succeed.
And that is just the first part of the mission, if i'm successful, I will do a reconnaissance mission in Asia and from there I'll have to find my way back home. The second part is with out a doubt more daunting, but I hope that my first year in Australia will prepare me some what for the challenges up ahead.

So that is the current plan, but my plans tend to change every 2 weeks or so :)

ABOUT ME

Big open questions like this one always give me trouble. I never know which answer people expect. I mean, it would totally be okay if I wrote my biography here... Don't panic, i'm not going to do that, but then the question remains, what to write?
I think my writing style gives a bit of my personality away :) i'm a happy, open person, although I'm quite shy when I first meet people. I think that has to do with the fact that I'm a bit crazy, but in a good way, like I say that in the best way possible. What I mean to say is... I really don't know where I'm going with this.
I'm not good at selling stuff, least of all my self, But the important thing is that I'm a fun person to be around and I love to make an adventure out of everything. I always try to find the positive things and I chase my dreams, even if I crash and burn in the end :)
So that is me, chaotic but with a certain logic to it.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm going for a cliché here, but it really is true for me, so much so, that I based the first part of my tattoo on it :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think that a lot of people that find their way on couch surfing are looking for an alternative way of travel. It was in my case, but I don't think that is the reason why we keep using it.
The reason we keep using it, are the people we meet and most of all the experiences we have thanks to them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't done a lot of couch surfing, only in France for 2 weeks and it went well. But at the time I didn't have anything planned in advance, I still don't really plan things out... But the problem was that I never knew in advance where I was going to end up that day. So I always needed a place to stay last minute and I never knew for how long. So that made finding hosts a bit difficult, but it always worked out in the end :)

Interests

I don't really have specific interests, I'm interested in everything. It's just that there are things that I don't get, like quantum physics for example...
I like to know a little bit about everything, but i'm not someone that concentrates on a few things and wants to know everything about those subjects. My concentration span isn't long enough for that. Also I'm not a patient person, I want everything to happen right away. But I'm working on that :)

The thing that interests me the most though, is when people talk to me about their interests/passions. I love it because I learn a lot about a certain object and just seeing and hearing the passion of that person is something priceless.
Also I think I might be a bit jealous of those people, just because I haven't found that special thing yet... But it will come, eventually, I hope ... :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like EVERYTHING, there are just some things I love a bit more :)

But it mostly depends on the mood i'm in. It doesn't matter if it's a book, music or a movie, I will watch/read/listen to the thing that enhances that emotion even more or does the opposite. So one day i might be into Hip Hop and the other it will be more Folk/Indie or House or Rock or Blues.

And I love to discover new things, so if you have a book, cd or movie that you just love, tell me and maybe i'll love it just as much :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For me it's when i hitchhiked trough France on my own.
I just said fuck it, I'm just going to try and we see what happens. And everything went great, people were so nice.
It might sound strange, but it restored my faith in peoples and this world. People are still capable of doing good, unselfish things. This trip also gave me the confidence to finally start a journey around the world, that will start in Australia on November 23th :)
