About Me

I am an early career scientist, with an interest in geodesy and astrophysics, am an advocate for this little home of ours, planet Earth, do volunteer work, love langauges, play cello, trumpet and clarinet. I do not smoke, drink nor use drugs, and prefer vegan.

Philosophies: Save power, walk or ride when you can, say no to plastic, say no to meat and dairy, rechargeable batteries, renewable energy, world without borders, yes to migrants, no to coal and oil, socialist (not communism), education is a must, yes to vaccinations, no to marketing and advertising, no white lies, no to fashion, yes to hygiene and good self care.

Transparency, honesty, respect.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you want to do a long bike tour, these are my top four tips:

1. REST. REST. REST.

2. Buy padded bike shorts and a comfortable saddle

3. Having a dynamo built into the axel of the front wheel allows for much energy to be generated during the tour. This can charge a phone. Get 12W or greater.

4. Safety - buy automatic, battery free front, magnet powered front and rear blinking lights that maintain their charge after stopping for a period of time, get a BRIGHT YELLOW REFLECTIVE vest and wear a helmet.
