I'm a very easygoing person and I always like meeting new people.
I've spent the last few years studying for my bachelors and masters degrees with relatively little travel (usually a small trip once a year) but now I'm finally going on my first ever solo backpacking trip with no plans ahead so I'm very excited. I'm the type of person that enjoys everything, whether it's partying at festivals or sitting down for a drink or walking in the streets of a beautiful city as long as it is with great people.

I used to travel with my parents and with them we always did the "touristy" things until the first trip I did with my friends where we had small parts of it interacting with the locals and it was by far the most I've had in a trip! I only found out recently about Couchsurfing and it looks perfect for maximizing the local experience and feel. I'd much rather go to an unknown local coffee shop than going to see tourist sights.
