ABOUT ME

Rather calm and quiet music lover, not the kind of 'party animal' (unless you talk about my fav artists' shows... :D).

PHILOSOPHY

Is 'rock your life' enough? :D Well, I don't think I have any kind of philosophy, I just believe that everything happens for a reason.

兴趣

Music. Maybe it's not like I'm living with my earphones on 24/7, but it's an important thing in my life. I love seeing my favourite artists live, and when I do - I'm doing my best to be in the first row, as close to the stage as possible. And I find this feeling after a great show just perfect - I can't speak, I'm almost deaf and often tired to death, but... I love it! :)

Contemporary history. I'm doing MA in political science, mainly because of my interest in contemporary history, especially the Cold War period and the fall of communism. I know, may sound strange... but I find reading books or writing essays on this topic really riveting.

Photography. Ok, now I use my camera less than I used to back then, but still, I like taking photos. ;)

音乐、电影和书籍

Music... Oh geez, I can talk and talk about it! I love classic rock bands, my personal favourite is Scorpions, but there's about a hell and a half of bands and artists I like (like Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Queen, The Hooters, Nazareth, Bryan Adams, and so on).

Movies - mainly musicals, like 'Grease' or 'Hair'. Besides I like Tim Burton's films, 'Star Wars' saga, and 80's movies, like 'St. Elmo's Fire' or 'Absolute Beginners', which the most remarkable feature is brilliant theme song... xD Well, in fact the first thing I pay attention to in the movie is soundtrack. Besides, I eagerly watch documentaries. :)

Books. Uhhh, long list... any about contemporary history, mainly dealing with the issue of Cold War / rise and fall of communism. I admire works of Timothy Garton Ash. Star Wars expanded universe, esp. those written by T. Zahn or M. A. Stackpole. Plus, I prefer the Rebellion and New Republic era to the Old Republic. ;) Some of Terry Pratchett's works (Witches!). 'The Witcher' by A. Sapkowski. Harry Potter. I also like books about mountain and climbers - and the list still isn't complete! :)

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Only one or two? You must've been kidding ;D For sure, there were a few gigs (mainly Scorpions ;) ) that left me speechless. What more? Hm... Visiting Prague, this city is even more beautiful than I had expected. And, in times I hiked a lot, visiting Polish and Slovak Tatras. It left me awestruck each time. :)

Not really sure if this can be called 'amazing things', but well... if that can't be, what can? :)
