About Me

CURRENT MISSION

The essence of creativity is not a technique but an attitude; an attitude of curiosity, openness, and celebration. Creativity is how we cope with creation.

ABOUT ME

I imagine that my life has the purpose I give it.

Everyday something amazes me.
Touch the lives of the people around me, have them influence mine, learn something and maybe even offer something and all the while find opportunities to LAUGH.

I've taken off in a plane far more often than I've landed in one.

At the end of it all, ask yourself - "What will my contribution have been?"

PHILOSOPHY

Live by what you love, not by what you fear.

Be inquisitive, observe, be compassionate, have fun, participate.

From discussion with my best friend...
Never pass up the opportunity to do something that stretches your mind (or that you enjoy).

Always give back to the environments and people on whom you depend.

You can't do much when you're dead...use every moment of life, as it is the shortest gift of time the universe will ever grant you.

Every day brings a chance for you to draw in a breath, kick off your shoes and dance. To waltz boldly onto the floor of life, and if you get the chance to sit out or dance, I hope you dance.

Creativity
- While Creation may sometimes seem ungraspable even pointless, Creativity is always meaningful. - Vik Muniz
In theatre you have the character and the actor in the same place trying to negotiate each other in front of an audience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacked part of South America - very influential in my life.

Been to a sliver of Alaska and loved it - in fact I didn't want to leave.

Had the privilege to be on top of the Drakensberg, watching the sun rise with clouds below the top of the escarpment.

Watched a fearless, 3 legged terrier bounce upstairs to my cabin and then proceed to bark at the thunder as it roared in beautiful Sabie

Teach, Learn, Share

M: "What surprises you most about humankind?"

G: "That they get bored with childhood, rush to grow up and then long to be children again.
That they lose their health to make money, and then lose their money to restore their health.
That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live in neither...
That they will live as if they will never die, and die as though they had never lived."

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Bolivia, Botswana, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, Germany, Lesotho, Mexico, Peru, Swaziland, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam, Zimbabwe
