CURRENT MISSION
To figure out how to explore this beautiful Earth further without destroying it even more.
ABOUT ME
Heyaa all of you!
I am a-27- year old Finnish lady currently living in Vienna, Austria. Now trending: environment, solo-travels, international politics.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I signed in Couchsurfing in the spring 2010 while planing my interrailing trip for the following summer.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm fascinated by the mentality in CS: people you don't know are not foreigners, they are your friends you just haven't got acquainted with yet. I began my CS "career" by surfing twice during the summer 2010. Afterwards I've been surfing, hosting, organising events and hanging out every now and then. Have got new friends. Amazing people.

Music, Movies, and Books
My weakness is that I'm very poor when it comes to names. I watch movies, read books and listen to music but I hardly ever remember the titles, actors, authors or players. When I was a child I was a huge fan of Star Wars. I envied Leia because she was in love with such a cool guy as Harrison Ford (and don't even dare to tell me he's an ancient, grumpy man!). Therefore, my mum was forced to make my hair look like Leia's. Nowadays I enjoy a bit different movies - although there is always a little place in my heart only dedicated to Star Wars! I enjoy clever movies, movies that contain something wicked and make you think about deeper themes in life. At the moment I'm super excited about good documentaries: sometimes the reality is even crazier than the fiction!
Of course, there is good fiction, too. Amélie is my favorite. Tarantino's Inglourious Bastards and Pulp-fiction are also brilliant, for instance. Books: I have done some good catch-up with my reading list during my gap year because there is not so much to study otherwise. Kind of same comes to books as to movies: I like deeper, sometimes even philosophical pieces of works, or books with contemporary phenomena or historical backgrounds. Music: something I can feel. Reggae, indie, acoustic. I delight in Finnish lyrics as well because I have a greater understanding of all the double meanings and nuances in my first language than in English.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Life. Isn't it great itself?
Teach, Learn, Share
If I had a possibility to know you better, I would like to take you in the traditional Finnish sauna. The peaceful lake and a pleasant sauna makes even the most restless mind to forget the daily problems. Have you ever tried to spin in the freezing snow after the hot sauna or dipping yourself in the ice-cold water? Believe it or not - it's a really relaxing experience!
