ABOUT ME

I work in the greenhouse of a garden center during the summer,and during the winter I work in other retail stores. Trying to get back into school to pursuit a career as a social worker, but unexpected expenses always end up causing me to not have the money saved up to got back to school. I'm very active in Special Olympics Connecticut, and have been since I was very young. Typically I'm doing something with them all year round on a unified team.

I haven't gotten to surf YET, but there are events coming up that I am planning to go to!

Interests

Gaming. Any kind really, but mostly moba and RTS games at the moment. Always down for tabletops though if i can find a group to play with.

Also I spin fire, and yes it's as awesome as it sounds. I attend Wildfire Retreat 1-2 times a year to learn new skills/tricks and socialize with other spinners. It's a great time.

As stated above I absolutely LOVE volunteering with SOCT. Not only is it fun, but very rewarding. Especially when you see the looks on all the athletes faces as they play.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Anything with Harrison Ford in it, Anchorman, Clerks, Back to the Future, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Hot Fuzz, The Princess Bride, Drunken master(and other various martial arts movies). Just to name a few.

Music: 2NE1, SNSD, f(x), Big D and the Kids Table, Daft Punk, Rise Against, Streetlight Manifesto, Blues Travelers, Flogging Molly.

Books: A Series of Unfortunate Events, American Gods, 1984, World War Z.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first black belt test. Eight grueling hours of physical and mental punishment. Never have been through anything that exhausting in my entire life, but really showed me that you can get through anything if you just push through it.
