About Me
My name is Nalie! I'm relatively new to the couchsurfing scene and unsure what to expect, but hoping for the best nonetheless!
I'm currently a student at UC Santa Barbara, double majoring in History of Public Policy and Film & Media Studies. I hope to attend either law school or some other form of graduate school (preferably in a big city) after I receive my degree.
I was born and raised in L.A. county to a Laotian father and an Irish-American mother and can never stay anywhere far from good asian food, the sun, or the mountains for too long.
I love traveling (both alone and with friends), coffeeshops, disposable cameras, soccer (which I played for 13 years), spicy food, thrift shopping, small music gigs, red wine, and the summertime.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think that the best way to see a new city is through the lens of a local!

Music, Movies, and Books
I still haven't been able to shake my high-school-born affection for indie rock and it's probably still my favorite music genre, but I truly do listen to and love music from all genres and in all languages, from 1960s Hungarian rock to Spanish reggaeton to Korean rap.
My favorite movie is "Spirited Away."
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I fed a bear honey with a wooden spoon in Hungary.
Countries I’ve Visited
Cuba, Czech Republic, England, France, Hungary, Laos, Mexico, Poland, Scotland, Slovakia, Spain, Thailand
