My current mission is to travel and experience the places and people in the world.

ABOUT ME

I am a lifelong learner with an adventurous spirit. My personality could be described as optimistic and open-minded. I am a minimalist and would rather have experiences than stuff. This is why I want to see the world and meet the people in it instead of use my money to buy things.

PHILOSOPHY

Whatever happens is the best thing that can happen, even if you don't realize it at the time. I have a strong faith in the Universe guiding me and providing me with what I need. I am so grateful for all that I have in my life. I believe in karma and helping others.

New Orleans, LA: host not even home but let me stay at his place!
Sedona, AZ: There are truly caring people in the world.
Las Vegas, NV: sorry what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas ;)
Redding, CA: I stayed with the 1st couch surfer that I hosted and brought along my Mom. CS is an amazing adventure.

Intereses

I enjoy visiting new places (of course), biking, camping/backpacking, hiking, cooking,eating out, and food network, gardening, yoga, running, pizza/movie night with my little girl, and sharing wine on a girl's night out.

Algo increíble que he hecho

My experience of a lifetime was backpacking for a month alone on the Appalachian Trail. It was very empowering. Please don't tell me that I can't do something. I am proud of my accomplishments: becoming a firefighter, being the first in my family to graduate college (39 years young), running my first marathon this past November, and completing my first triathlon in June. My travel high points include a picnic at the Eiffel Tower, snowmobile outing to a remote cabin for a rustic dinner, staying at the bottom of the Grand Canyon (Phantom Ranch), The sunrise at the Haleakala Volcano, Hawaii and then a bike ride down, St. Patrick's Day in Dublin, Ireland, Buschart Gardens, zip-lining and in Costa Rica, Hippie Hollow at Lake Travis in Austin, Niagra Falls, and a road trip (SC to Texas via New Orleans) with a girlfriend in a rented red mustang convertible.

I have had many jobs: teacher, firefighter/EMT, cheese shop manager, graphic artist, personal trainer, customer service, travel agent, photo lab tech, prep at restaurant, hostess, kayak guide, jet ski and boat rentals, and health club operations manager. I love trying new recipes and being a Ratatouille in the kitchen. I used to be in a cooking club, The Dining Divas. It was a blast making and trying new foods. I am learning to be myself and love myself for who I am.
