About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be Interested; Be Interesting.

ABOUT ME

A young man with a simple philosophy to live by.

I've wanted less and less, and experienced more and more. I've lived abroad in Africa and seen first hand what the world has to offer. I've seen unbridled joy, and I've seen debilitating pain. I aim for to go off the beaten path to get at the people that make up a culture.

Everything is an adventure. And each one starts with a step.

PHILOSOPHY

What man is a man that doesn't make the world better?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All my couchsurfing experiences have been incredible. Each couch I've crashed gives incredible stories and memories to share. From Tanzanian cots, to Belgium beds and Israeli flats, my favorite travel memories have all been CS inspired.

Interests

I'm interested in all types of art and music. I love to cook and clearly, traveling when I can get around to it. I'm heavy into the sciences, but I also enjoy talking about and learning about religion, politics, and society (No conversions, confrontations, or yelling - I'm here to learn. Educate me) Microbiology, bioethics...all fun stuff!

I've since become interested in other's peoples stories and adventures. I love conversing with new people.

Books - Anything by Tolkien or Anne Rice,
A Stranger in a Strange Land, Heinlein

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I successfully backpacked/hiked/couchsurfed from Namibia, Southern Africa all the way up to Ireland in 2010.

The whole trip took 5 months, passed through 22 countries, and accomplished it for less than $6,000. I went along with two other couchsurfers I knew previously, and had the experience of a lifetime. Many thanks to all the couchsurfers worldwide that helped make it incredible.
